Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney was born Amal R. Alamuddin, a Lebanese British lawyer and human rights activist. After graduating from Oxford University School of Law she embarked on an extensive and successful profession in the field of human rights as well as international law. Her clients include several prominent nation states, such as Armenia and its struggle to have the Turkish government recognize Armenia's right to recognize the Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney arranged for American actor George Clooney to marry him in 2014, and instantly became a household name in pop entertainment. Before this, she had already been well known by the legal profession because of her capacity to advocate for clients. From tackling human and social rights concerns, to representing several multi-national corporations in court proceedings and negotiations concerning federal regulations. Since 2015, Doughty Street Chambers is located in London. She is barrister.
