Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on March 16 1984 in Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's best-known and popular comedians. She's appeared on QI with Stephen Fry. Aisling Claiodhnadh or Aisling "Bea" is a famous Irish writer and actor. Born on March 16th 1984. Bea, who began appearing as bit roles on Irish or British television programs in 2009, began her career by performing stand-up comedy in the year 2011. In 2012, she began appearing in sketch comedy shows or sitcoms as well as other similar programming. After she won an award at Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA), she started to appear regularly in various panel programs. In 2016 and 2017, she was a team leader on 8 Out of 10 Cats. She is also an actress on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister who is named Sinead. In 2012 she became the second woman to ever receive the So You Think That You're Funny award. Bea is her name in honour of her deceased father. Aisling Claiodhnadh, born 16 March 1984 from Kildare, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian who was an equine vet, who committed suicide at the age of three when Bea turned three, was an victim of self-harm. Bea was informed of his passing at 13 years old. She chose the stage name Bea to pay tribute to her late father. She also wrote a 2017 article in The Guardian on her family's suicide experience. Bea and her younger sister Sinead were taken care of by their maternal grandmother Helen (nee Moloney) who was a secondary school teacher and jockey trainer, as well as a an ex-professional jockey. Her family were obsessed with horses and race meetings. In her youth Bea was an instructor in the Irish National Stud however she realized at an early stage that she was not keen on the sport of racing as a job, and loved performing.
