Matthew Matt James was conceived in North Carolina, on the 5th of December 1991. He is a mixed-race child from Manny James, and Patty James. The father of Manny James is Nigerian as is his mother, who is caucasian American. He graduated in 2010 at Sanderson High School and furthered into Wake Forest University where he received a Bachelor's degree from Economics in 2015. James became famous when he appeared on The Bachelorette as a reality TV star. In 2020, he was picked to play the season's 25th bachelor on The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The season premiered in on the 20th of January in. James seemed to be the perfect match for the role as He is attractive, well-rounded and large-bodied personality. Rachael Krokconnell was the winner because James decided to enter into a romantic relationship with her. Following year, 2021, he got a partner with the famous dancer Arnold to compete in the season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold placed 12th on the show.
